Brief:

Neutral Bay Dental Surgery came to Dental Fitout Projects following the acquisition of a successful clinic in Sydney’s upmarket Neutral Bay. With plans to relocate the practice to a new, larger premises on a major arterial road, the brief called for a space that would serve the immediate needs of an established patient base while providing capacity for future growth. The design needed to reflect the professionalism and premium nature of the clinic, aligning with the expectations of its discerning clientele. Creating a layout that supported smooth day-to-day operations, while offering flexibility for expansion and evolution over time, was a central focus of the project.

Obstacles:

The new clinic location, situated on a busy main road within a mixed-use complex, posed several logistical challenges.
Careful coordination was required to ensure tradespeople and deliveries could access the site without disrupting neighbouring
residential and commercial tenants. The team also navigated a unique obstacle involving a veterinary clinic located directly
beneath the site—negotiating temporary access to finalise essential plumbing works.

As the premises was located in an older building, a number of infrastructure elements needed to be brought up to current standards. This included rectifying outdated fire services to comply with modern building codes and ensuring the new fitout met all contemporary compliance requirements.

Achievements:

Despite the logistical and regulatory hurdles, Dental Fitout Projects successfully delivered a sleek, contemporary clinic tailored to the premium Neutral Bay market. The space balances professional presentation with a warm, welcoming atmosphere—providing patients with a comfortable experience and practitioners with a highly functional workspace.
